Jake Paul is more important to American boxing than hardcore fans would like to believe. Many still hold steadfast to the beliefs of yesteryear, but this is not our grandfathers’ or grandmothers’ boxing landscape. Also, imo, Jake Paul has the upper hand when it comes to the new American boxing market—he is who the “casuals” or newer fans look to for their events. As a promoter, we’ve seen him work with just about everyone in boxing so far, with his event on November 15, showing the true demand for a properly marketed show. It left Netflix’s servers $creaming, thinking of potential live sports investments—something that’s been discussed on ChickenTawk Spaces, Brunch Boxing, WCIW, EveryJuan Has an Opinion pods, etc.

TKO Boxing League—regardless of the rumored leaked pay scale, in today’s times, people will fight for the purse offered. Where Dana and “team” are going to focus, in my honest opinion, is marketing. What Dana does is push a brand, and rarely does a star emerge from his brand that transcends it. That singular trend in itself may be a problem. Though many are quick to judge and deem it a failure, I expect a lot of growing pains.

Shakur Stevenson DOES have power. ::Deep sigh:: There are several ways to classify it, but I’d simply break it down into four categories: pop, power, knockout power, and one-shot knockout power. Go back and look at his fight against Artem, where he stood in the pocket, was trading with him, and Artem had to be honest. Argue with your mama or Odometer Ricky about it—not me.

Women’s boxing is important and growing, but I feel it’s sexist for them to fight two-minute rounds.

Not an opinion… If you can’t sniff out the more sinister -isms and propaganda being pushed by certain boxing outfits and their (not-so) obvious paid media/social media yappers, there’s a good chance you’re a smooth-brained glue sniffer. And willingly participating in, pushing, and furthering such agendas is a detriment to boxing as a whole.
