Full Undercard Announced For Beterbiev-Bivol Undisputed Title Clash

Turki Alalshikh, the Saudi Arabian General Authority for Entertainment chairman, revealed the full undercard for the upcoming undisputed title bout between Artur Beterbiev (20-0, 20KOs) and Dmitry Bivol (23-0, 12KOs). Scheduled for October 12 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this event is set to be one of the biggest nights in boxing this year. Fans eagerly awaiting the clash between the two light heavyweight champions will also be treated to a star-studded undercard featuring some of the sport’s most exciting fighters.

Serving as the chief support for the main event will be a WBC lightweight title matchup between Shakur Stevenson (22-0, 10KOs) and Joe Cordina (17-1, 9KOs). Stevenson, a three-division world champion, will look to continue his dominance as he faces off against the former super featherweight champion, Cordina, who is coming off a knockout loss to Anthony Cacace.

British star Chris Eubank Jr. (33-3, 24KOs) will take on Poland’s Kamil Szeremeta (25-2-2, 8KOs) in what is expected to be a stay busy bout for Eubank. Eubank Jr. turned down a potential bout with boxing superstar, Canelo Alvarez to face the former world title challenger, Szeremeta.

In a rematch of their closely contested fight of the year candidate, Fabio Wardley (17-0-1, 16KOs) and Frazer Clarke (8-0-1, 6KOs) will square off once again in the heavyweight division. Their initial encounter ended in a draw, and both fighters are eager to settle the score. Wardley, the current British heavyweight champion, will be defending his title against Clarke, a former Olympic bronze medalist, in what promises to be another thrilling showdown.

The cruiserweight division will also be in the spotlight as Jai Opetaia (25-0, 19KOs) faces Jack Massey (22-2, 12KOs). Opetaia, the current IBF cruiserweight champion, will be making his first (but not really) title defense against Massey, a hard-hitting contender from the UK.

Rising star Ben Whittaker (8-0, 5KOs) will be stepping into the ring against veteran Liam Cameron (23-6, 10KOs) in a light heavyweight clash. Whittaker, a former Olympic silver medalist, has been making waves in the professional ranks with his flashy style and exceptional skills. Cameron, a seasoned campaigner, will be looking to use his experience to derail Whittaker’s rapid ascent in the division.

In the women’s featherweight division, Skye Nicolson (11-0, 1KO) will go head-to-head with Raven Chapman (9-0, 2KOs) in a WBC women’s featherweight title bout. Nicolson, a highly decorated amateur, will defend her title for the second time. Chapman, known for her aggressive style, will be looking to hand Nicolson her first professional defeat and win her first world title. This will be the first women’s bout that will take place as part of Riyadh Season.

Rounding out the undercard, Mohammed Alakel (0-0) will make his pro debut against Jesus Gonzalez (3-2, 0KOs). Alakel, a fringe prospect from Saudi Arabia, will be fighting on home soil and looking to impress in front of his home crowd.

The main event between Beterbiev and Bivol will be televised live on ESPN+. The undercard is expected to be televised on DAZN, though official details have yet to be confirmed.
