- As reported by Brunch Boxing, newly crowned WBA Junior welterweight champion, Jose “Rayo” Valenzuela (14-2, 9KOs) has been named the frontrunner to face boxing superstar, Gervonta “Tank” Davis (30-0, 28KOs) in Tank’s PBC on Prime PPV bout in November.

Shakur Stevenson Officially Signs a Multi-fight Agreement With Matchroom

- WBC Lightweight Champion, Shakur Stevenson (22-0, 10KOs) has agreed to a multi-fight deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing. Stevenson’s first bout with the company will be a lightweight title defense against Joe Cordina (17-1, 9KOs). Possible names for Stevenson to face after the Cordina bout are Mark Chamberlain (16-0, 12KOs) and William Zepeda (31-0, 27KOs).

Keyshawn Davis vs Gustavo Lemos To Headline a Potentially Stacked ESPN Card

- Keyshawn Davis (11-0, 7KOs) will headline a November 8 ESPN telecast in his hometown of Norfolk, Virginia against title contender, Gustavo Lemos (29-1, 16KOs). The potential co-feature (more on this) of the card is a WBO welterweight title defense by Brian Norman Jr. (26-0, 20KOs) against Puerto Rican slugger, Derrieck Cuevas (27-1-1, 19KOs). Ring Magazine’s Jake Donovan reports that Abdullah Mason (15-0, 13KOs) and Troy Isley (13-0, 5KOs) are expected to appear on the card in separate bouts. KeepIt100Boxing reports that Mason’s opponent will be Yohan Vasquez (26-5, 21KOs).

Jaron Ennis and Brian Norman Jr. Very Close to Unification Bout

- In an extensive interview, Brian Norman Sr. told Brunch Boxing that Jaron “Boots” Ennis and his son, Brian Norman Jr. (26-0, 20KOs) are “very close” to an agreement for an IBF and WBO welterweight unification bout on November 9 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Norman Sr. made it very clear that Norman, Ennis and Top Rank are all on board with the bout and it is on Boots’ promoter, Eddie Hearn to finalize the bout. If an agreement cannot be reached between the two parties, Ennis and Norman are expected to face Karen Chukhadzhian (24-2, 13 KOs) and Derrieck Cuevas (27-1-1, 19KOs) respectively.

Junto Nakatani, Takuma Inoue, Kosei Tanaka and Kenshiro Teraji Highlight Huge Japanese Fight Weekend

- Mr. Honda’s Teiken Promotions has announced a two-night, seven title fight, Wrestlemania weekend style of shows at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan on October 13 and 14. The event will feature Junto Nakatani (28-0, 21KOs),Takuma Inoue (20-1, 5KOs), Kosei Tanaka (20-1, 11KOs) and Kenshiro Teraji (23-1, 14KOs) in separate title bouts. Anthony Olascuaga (7-1, 5KOs) will make his first title defense against Jonathan “Bomba” Gonzalez (28-3-1, 14KOs). Tenshin Nasukawa (4-0, 2KOs) will also be featured on the ESPN+ event.

Full Undercard Announced For Beterbiev-Bivol Undisputed Title Clash

- Turki Alalshikh announced the full undercard for the undisputed title bout between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol on October 12 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The chief support for the card will be a WBC lightweight title bout between Shakur Stevenson and Joe Cordina. The card will also feature separate bouts from Chris Eubank Jr. and Jai Opetaia, as well as the anticipated rematch between Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke. The undisputed title clash will be televised on ESPN+, while the undercard is expected to be televised on DAZN.

- As reported by Brunch Boxing, Lester Martinez (18-0, 15KOs) will headline a September 11 ProBox TV card against fellow undefeated fighter, Joeshon James (9-0-2, 5KOs). The chief support for the card will be a matchup between Vladimir Hernandez (15-6, 7 KOs) and Dominican prospect Raul García (13-1-1, 11 KOs).

John Riel Casimero and Hiroto Kyoguchi Headline October 13 Card In Separate Bouts

- Former three-weight division champion John Riel Casimero (33-4-1, 22KOs) returns to the ring to headline a card in Yokohama, Japan against Saul Sanchez (21-3, 12KOs). - Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions have announced that they have signed heavy hitting heavyweight, Fabio Wardley to a multi-fight deal. Wardley faces Frazer Clarke on Oct 12 in a rematch of their March 31 slugfest.

Zurdo Rodriguez Tests Positive For EPO In Steven Nelson Bout

- Mexican boxer “Zurdo” Marcos Vazquez Rodriguez (20-1-1, 10KOs) has tested positive for the banned substance, EPO, during his August 3, Riyadh Season bout against Steven Nelson. Rodriguez was stopped in round 5 of the 10-round bout.

Jai Opetaia Looking For New Trainer

- IBF cruiserweight champion, Jai Opetaia is looking for a new trainer after his trainer, Mark Wilson, announced his retirement from the sport of boxing. Wilson was also the trainer of trainer of heavyweight prospect, Justis Huni. Both Opetaia and Huni are expected to be trained by their fathers.

Mairis Briedis Retires

- Former three time cruiserweight champion, Mairis Briedis has announced his retirement from the sport of boxing. Briedis finishes his career with a record of 28 wins, 3 losses, with 20 of those wins coming by way of knockout.
